ABOUT ME

Born on October 23rd, 1951 in Fayette County Kentucky, I am the only daughter of the late Ammanell (Rambo) Buntin and the late William Fay Buntin.

I grew up in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, graduated from Dawson Springs High School in 1969, and attended Madisonville Community College before marrying my husband of 37 years, Joe Allen Redden on July 10th 1970.

I accepted Jesus as my Savior in November 1963 and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in March 1964.  I began teaching Sunday School when I was only 13 years old and have a deep love for the Lord, His Word, and His Church.

After helping with the initial church plant of Dayspring Assembly of God in August 1999, I became Dayspring's Senior Pastor in March 2003.

I am an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God and received my diploma in Ministerial Studies from Berean School of the Bible (a divison of Global University in Springfield, MO.)

Joe and I have two grown daughters, Dr. Holly Divine of Versailles, KY and Amy Argo of Dawson Springs.  We have two wonderful sons-in-law, Kevin Divine and Ken Argo, and one granddaughter, Emma Grace Argo and one step-granddaughter, Alyssa Jade Argo.

I currently serve the Kentucky District Assemblies of God as a Christian Education Sectional Rep for the Pennyrile section and  am an instructor in the Kentucky School of Ministry (KSOM) in Crestwood, KY which  provides schooling for ministers seeking to obtain credentials with the General Council of the Assemblies of God.  I also serve as a member of the KSOM Curriculum Committee which selects the textbooks and develops the Study Guides for all the KSOM classes.

I love music.  I play the piano, organ, guitar, and bass guitar and lead the praise and worship at Dayspring.

In 2007 I developed a training course for Sunday School teachers, youth leaders, and others involved in Christian Education and published my first book entitled, "Pastor Kathy's Teaching Techniques" in which I share ideas and techniques derived from my  forty-two years of personal experience in the area of Biblical teaching.

Joe and I reside at 511 North Russell Street in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, 42408.  My email address is:  pastorkathy@dayspringassemblyofgod.org
